Sword Lunging

I know sword canceling is off, but are there any ways to mod around it?
I increaced the targeting distance, and it attempts. What makes me think it is still possible is when you are standing uphill from the person it sometimes lets you do a sword canceling type lunge. Mabe theres some values that can fix it?

Disable the AU and you get around it.
