How do you add custom maps to the mainmenu.map

So i was wondering if some one could write me a tut on how to add custom maps to the mainmenu.map(i think that is what it's called, the thingy-majigger that shows the maps.). Oh and can some one give me the link to the "necryptomatic signature tool", because every link i find is either broken or takes me to the wrong place(i also tried pasting the link into my browser).
