Adding maps to mainmenu... grr!
OK, I don't understand how to add maps to the mainmenu... the tutorial I read in the "56 questions answered here!" topic didn't work. Can someone walk me through this...? I think there's a problem with directing the "mainmenu.map" to the new map's address. ex. it can't find scenarios\halo\multi\coagulation\coagulation
Open up DotHalo, load the mainmenu.map, and click ont the [+] next to [matg]. Then click globals/globals. Wait for everything to load and a window should be on top of every other window. Click the V arrow next to the blank box and switch to an empty number (the first empty number is 12) but I sugest you use number 13 first and never us 12. It just makes things simpler to remember. Then in the Value box type the number of the map (i.e. 13) and then a zero so 13 would look like this 130. Also put that number in Next Value? box too. Number 120 is already used by an unmodded map so that is why you can't use it. This is the easiest way to add maps to the mainmenu. You also have to add the Map Name and a Description. Look around for tuts on how to add pics to the mainmenu too. Good luck. Have any more ?s about this, PM me and I would be happy to assist.
I use monkeyterds main menu editor app found in this topic.

Its a pretty quick way to add in new maps ontop of the origional ones. and when your done you can sign the new mainmenu.map right from the app and ftp it all in. its slick.
