Help with fire effects

I am just wondering about the fire effect of a weapon. Im working with the plasma rifle right now and I want to change the effect at the muzzle when you fire. Iv tried every dependency and for some reason i cannot change it to anything but blue. Iv tried the [ligh] plugin with no effect. so just to clairfy...

the projectile is green
the little light where the bullets come out is green
the muzzle effect when the gun is fired is blue in 3rd and 1st person

Iv spent a few hours trying to figure out how to change it but with no luck. Thanks in advanced

did you try swaping out the muzzle flash bitm

if you are refering to flash_c_generic_muzzle.bitm then no because its a black and white picture and there is nothing to edit.

i was refuring to the plasma_grenade_electric_burst bitm. its the second chunk of the fire effect reflexive.

Well no i have not tried swapping it out. What should I swap it with, or should I Null it?
