im making acouple mods which i will me making nightvison goggles on the map. and they will be dual wieldable. but im wondering, how can i make it green. and is there any way i can change the icon, so when you go over it and it asks you to pick it up, to goggles? i was also wondering, would there be any way to make something so, its like another set of goggles, but it makes it so you can see thru everything but people. so you can tell exactly were people are and stuff, but still see walls and floors. thanks for all the help.

sounds hard for halo ce, let alone halo 2, id put this mod down to impossible - or programming.
but to change icon, just find the bitmap.
a cheap way to do it wud be to find the damage screen flash thingy (you no, red flash) and make the goggles constantly hurt you, and try swapping shaders, like, maybe edit the red flash to a green flash, or, swapping it to the flash light, or something. just try stuff.

hm... You could... Inject the spotting scope from outskirts, change the hmlt of say the plasma Rifle to it. and then null out the projectile on it. give it a scope. change some sounds, set it as a third starting weapon, hex edit the name of the Plasma rifle in game to "Nightvision googles". give it the sniper scope bitmap, then edit for a pair of googles.
