Your second idea is even much more complicated because you need to make that installer...
Just make an evox cd so you can boot on it and then ftp files, and read the entire tutorial, don't be lazzy, no one is gonna make it for you.
If you really want your xbox fixed you'll get it, that tutorial explains what you need to make it.
