I am working on a mod for Zanzibar where everybody who plays as MC is a marine and everybody who plays as an Elite is a Human Flood combat form. The problem is that every time I shoot a flood combat form with the battle rifle the game freezes and make a nasty noise. the same thing happens with the sniper. I have looked everywhere and have not found an answer to my issue. I am also having a problem getting the warthog and ghost drivable by both marine and flood. I have made a serenity patch for my map if anybody wants to take a look at it.

Thanks

I believe you need to go to it's [hlmt] tag then null out any [effe] tags in it, you can also switch them with something else.

If that doesnt work, null the [udlg] tags.

I tried the udlg thing, but I'll give the other one a shot.

Thanks

Platform: Halo 2
Difficulty: Depends on your experiance with bipds.
Description: Everyone knows how to get the floodcombat_human and floodcombat_elite

in MP, but what happens when you use the sword or an explosive on them? Your game

freezes. This tutorial will not only show you how to get the floodcombat forms in MP,

but it will also teach you how to be able to desintegrate the floodcombat forms without

freezing the game. Note: I suggest that this be done on a fresh map or one with shade

45's goof patch. Either work.
Materials:
SP map, 06b_floodzone.map.
MP map of your choice.
Insolence
and of course FTP link and a modded xbox.

Got your stuff? Ok let's begin.

Flood in MP
Step 1: Open Insolence and open up the SP map and the MP map. Once you have them open

got to the hlmt tag group in the SP map and find objects/characters/floodcombat_elite

or human. Click on your desired flood once to highlight the tag. Then drag and drop the

tag into your MP map. A status box will appear and show you the status of the transfer.

Once the box closes, close the SP map cuz you don't need it anymore.

Step 2: Go to the bipd tag group and double click on either

objects/characters/masterchief_mp or objects/characters/elite_mp to open the tag.

Once they're open click on the word "edit" on top of the window and it should change

to the word "dev". Now first go to all values and find the word "default". Double click

on it and change it to the word "standard". Now click on all dependencies and find the

tag objects/characters/elite_mp, or masterchief_mp, and change it to your flood's

transferred tag. To change it double click the tag and open the drop down box marked

by a little arrow pointing down. Your flood's tag should be at the bottom of the list.

Just click on it and then click on the "Nulled Out" tag below it once.

Step 3: Go to the hlmt tag group and find your flood's transferred tag. Ex.

objects/characters/floodcombat_human/floodcombat_human.

Double click on the tag and change "edit" to "dev". Go to variations under reflexives

and click on all dependencies. null out the only tag that should be there. To null out

a tag in Insolence double click on it and open the drop down box. Go all the way to the

top of the list and find "Nulled Out". Click on it and then click somewhere around the

tag. Anywhere as long as it's in the same directory as the tag.

Great job you've just replaced you're preffered bipd with one of the floodcombat forms.

Now I will show you how to allow the Floodcombat forms to be desintegrated without

freezing the map.

Fixing Flood in MP

Step 1: After nulling out the sound variations(Step 3 in part 1) go to the previous

reflexives list and click on uknown 2. Then click on uknown 1 and then uknown 1 again

and then all dependencies. null out the top effe tag and the click on the drop down box

with the number 0 in it. go down to every number and null out all the tags in there.

Step 2: After nulling them all out in there, go to the previous reflexives list in

which you clicked uknown 1 and click on all values. open the drop down box on top of the

values list and go down to every number and repeat step 1 on each of those numbers.

Step 3: Keep doing Steps 1 and 2 until you have nulled out all the eplosion effects.

Step 4: Now click on map options on top of all the tag groupings and click on Fix map

signature. Now FTP and destroy the flood.

That's all there is to it. If you wanted to you can add a different explosion effect

instead of the flood effect you can do that instead of nulling it out. it can be any

explosion effect as long as it's not the flood's. I hope this tutorial was useful and

if you have any questions just PM me.

thats is a tutorial for it, and i did not make it, sorry, i can't remember who did, cuz i just copied it off the site directly
