Not wanting to sound like noob... I obliterated my old HD and lost all my stuff... all my map back ups... all my apps, every damn thing related to modding.

I lost the xtra maps for halo 2, (the update maps) and i dont have them

Im looking for somewhere to download all the maps, in clean .map format, I checked torrents, and cant find anything decent. does anyone know a good place to download all of em. if anyone can help, would be great.

I could probably get the normal base maps... But the update ones i cant get, cause i have no map disc. so just the new ones, (Backwash, turf, gemini) those ones...

That's Illegal.

Don't discuss this here. You can buy the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack for the new maps, and use the Halo 2 Disc for your old maps.

Isn't it only illegal if you dont actually own the game?

And i had downloaded the extra maps from the market place before. I see no illegality.

marketplace via xbox live. they are allowed to distribute them but you nor are we allowed to. and its illegal if you own the game or not. someone delete this topic and dont ask for maps on here again.

True, but as you've said, you must actually OWN a legal copy.
When you perchase a copy of any media, you are givin certain rights allowing you to modify it but not distribute it.

It's illegal to download from ANYWHERE other than XBL marketplace or the mappack CD.
