My idea to stop cheaters is eliminate ranks. It would piss alot of people who have no life and care too much about ranks, but it would also stop people from cheating becuase whats the point if you can't get a higher number?. This in turn stops people from getting pissed and quitting halo entirely. Its way to rampant. When I play with my friends I ussaully get stand byed every 5th game, which is terrible. When cheating started I only got cheated every 70th game, which is a much better rate. So what do you guys think should be done about cheating?

Stop playing the game for a number... Play customs.

I do play customs, I don't really care about ranks myself. Its just that the awesome playlists are ranked.

True, but, if you don't care about your rank don't sweat it man. If you get cheated, just quit and start a new game.Although, I do see where you're coming from, either way it's a large inconvenience.

The thing about customs is you need lots of friends that are willing to play, especially for any big stuff.

Or if Bungie would just make a better way for detecting cheaters...

Yea, it's called they need to stop being lazy and create better encryption methods.

how bout this. in all new xbox and xbox 360s made they incoparate a serial code hardwired into the motherboard of the xbox or 360. then when they detect you for cheating ban there serial number not there id. that way thay have to buy a new xbox to get back online. since it's not hard detecting them it's just hard keeping them off.

Id rather be Modded than standbyed/bridged in matchmaking. But id rather be not cheated other than any of them. Its sad that these nerd have to go ruin the game just cuz they cant get high levels without cheating. I mod halo, BUT NEVER in a matchmaking game. People that mod matchmaking should just die. As for being standbyed, just a better challenge. My philosophy is, he must suck since hes stand bying. So i just kill him enuf even with the stand by. GG.
