That's why most of us left. I only hang around here now, I don't have time to do the mods I used to, and I'm tired of noobs flaming good mods, then releasing crap like "dual energy swords" It's pathetic. (This is WoodenDragon if you didn't know

)

Actually yes, I have. The Multiplayer Simulation series. The AWM series, the first useable fuel rod gun with FP model in Halo 1, the Invasion series for Halo 2, and a few others... Why do you ask?

I admit, I am part of the 'how do I' crowd. The thing is, once I figure it out, I will tell anybody else who asks. That's part of learning, if the community is supposed to grow you need people asking how. Now, that's not to say that they cant go to trial and error, but once they run out of ideas, what's wrong with asking somebody how knows? Before any of my questions I have searched the forum, the problem is, I mod halo 2, and this forum leans heavily towards halo. Not to mention good ol google doesn't have much on the subject.
I plan to stay and learn for a while, I have nothing better to do, and I wont be submitting any mods until they equal mod of the month quality in orginality, look, design, and balance.

Asking questions is fine, but there's too many people going "Make this for me" and "How do I auto aim" and crap. We're not getting anything NEW done...

I have been here around the same time Voyde has, I have noticed the increase in new modders by the dozens. I have helped many if you want to look through my post you are welcome. But every now and then I will ask a question for stuff I don't know. From the time I joined till now I think I have gained lots of experience, rare programs, the want to help people , and the knowlege of modding. I am glad there is a halo mods. but there should be a place in this community where a moderators has noticed you have made more then 100 helpful post and atleast 5 decent mods they are promoted to a "Respected Modder" rank which they are allowed into a hiddin catogory of the forums which only they can enter and the newbs can not.

that speech WOW made me feel so proud to be a modder
Also i think this month (nov) there will be a billion new people who just wanna mod on xbl because the xbox 360 is comming out and they wanna be "cool" and mess with everyone, (the weird kids with preorders and dont care about the old xbox)
edit - im glad to see that 2 people think im hot

The fact that they are releasing the 360 with a DETACHABLE hard drive leads me to believe it will be quite easy to mod it.

yeah but its the stupid questions thay get to us, like as Sephiroth_ said "Make this for me" and "How do I auto aim" this is what we hate, i love learning new things like Making a jeep drive by it self (i know it aint possible) HOLY POO I JUST FIGURED IT OUT I GOT IT)) but it just gets kinda boring after you hear the same question 100000 times
and as for the driving warthog i really did figure it out

I'm surprised not many people are interested in stubbs. In my opinion this could be a nice opportunity for some classic halo mods.

after takeing a nice 3 days off of halo mods.com i came back and there is a ton of stupid questions. no-one reads the stickys or uses the search. I think that moderators should tell them the search in a PM and erase the post/topic so it would stop spam and stupid questions. thats my thoughts and now im off to finish my lovely vaca from halo mods.com
