Ive been very confused about this. If I buy the 12 month starter kit do i have to pay a monthly subscribtion? If you could answer this it would be very helpful. I'm wondering because i looked at some reviews and some people said its good but you have to pay a subscription.

Thx, Bojangles

Nope, if you get the 12 month, you dont have to pay again for 12 months, then at the end of one year, they ask if you want to charge another subscription to the credit card you signed up with. If you get the 3 month, you dont have to pay again for 3 months, etc. Same with the 2 month trial.

my friend asked me and I don't know the answer, so I ask here. Will two Xboxes sharing a broadband internet connection while running live suffer from lag in Halo 2? important question please help. thanks, I didn't want to start a new topic since this one was generally named Xbox Live I posted here hehe.

Hacked BIOS on? To answer Governators question, you have to have a broadband connection to play on live anyway, but when you run two xboxs at the same time on live your bandwidth essentially gets cut in half for each... so you may get some lag depending on how good your original connection was.

in that case, what's the best broadband connection you can get for the "dollar"? my friend and I are going to share the broadband connection w/ xbox live and therefore will need the best one  .

Hmm, well I have Charter, and its not bad... I have no lag ever... even when downloading stuff, only $30 a month, look into it.

Avoid Comcast at all costs, especially any "enhanced" packages. You'll be the host 90% of the time, but you will get lousy games. Comcast give lower packet priority to residential subscribers, so when your game throttles too many packets, they just get dropped. It looks like stuff is warping, but it's missing packets of data thanks to Comcast. I'm told the basic package doesn't get screwed-over as much, but avoid Comcast if you can.

Avoid bumping at all costs.
