halo 2 xbl help

when ever i try to connect to xbox live halo 2 on my 360, this mesage always pops up:

"You have an important message from Xbox Live. Would you like to go to Account Management in the Xbox Dashboard?" then for selections it has "Account Management" or "Continue OFFLINE"

is there anyway to solve this?

It means, you are either banned or you didn't make payment on the account. One way or another, you don't have a gold account anymore.

i have the trial gold account, and it activates, everything works fine etc etc

but its the dang message that keeps popping up and keeping me from playing halo 2 on xbl!

EDIT: tomorrow, il try to see if this thing happens with gears of war xbl. if it doesnt, then theres some serious problems going on

Go into your dashboard and change your parental settings to allow original Xbox games.

i have the 1st xbox and all that message was about was that xbl would be shut down for a certain date that has already passed

I had this same problem. It went away after the date of XBL being down...
