I think you all dont really understand what Flood are....

Flood arent just another species or whatever... they are infected human and covies.

When he says Gravemind is human... he is saying that Gravemind is a heavily infected human. Somebody made the relation to Captain Keys here and said that he was human and became a massive blob. In the orriginal game the cheif was supposed to pull Keys' skull from his head. (hence why the oddball is a skull) Maybe if they left that in, it would make more sense to you all.

Well your point is shot down becuase the gravemind is 10x older than keyes he was around before the forerunners.

I want to clarify that keyes was not bloated because of the flood. Keyes was consumed by a flood type used to "interrogate" him, so the flood will know about everything, including how to drive ships (and maybe even about earth.)

gravemind is a flood boss there are 7 one for each ring they can communicate telepathically the flood wanted inamberclad to get to earth thats why cortana stayed behind to detonate the fusion drive on it so the flood would be trapped on halo and high charity
humans are descendants of forerunners thats why guilty spark says "im glad to see some of them survived to reproduce" at first i thout he was talking about the flood but i realized the flood dont technically reproduce they infect a host so he must be talking about humans/forrunners

Actually, in context, he was referring to the flood.
