I recently obtained Halo CE, and I'm trying to install a couple mods, try it out, see what it's like...
So I download JK-47's Forsaken Island, because it looks oh so delicious.
So I find it, extract it, and replace the death island map in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps\deathisland.map with JK's map.
I open Halo CE, and an error message pops up...
"We have detected that one of the Halo PC files is missing or corrupted. We recommend removing and reinstalling the game."
So I'm disappointed, right?
Then I realize, Oh! I put a Halo PC map mod over a Halo CE map, that must be the issue.
So I download Shortest because it also looks a little scrumptious, and I repeat the steps.
Same error.
Anyone know the issue?
I'm incredibly new to PC/CE, and if this is like, the most trivial of issues that could've easily been solved had I known a little bit of extra info, I apologize.

Nope.
Actually, I just successfully installed Claustrophobia by placing the map in the maps folder.
I had assumed that you had to overwrite the original map in the \maps folder with the modded map, rather than just giving it a different name and placing it in there.
Thanks, anyway.
