Animating Elevators In Gmax

Post by Glitcherguy »

Hey I havn't been on this forum for a while now, but now i'm back and I need help. I made this elevator AND the animation, but I can't figure out how to export or what to do next. Is there any tutorial that is for GMAX and uses normal tool (not tool++) I need it for my level

Ok here is an animation exporter that works for gmax. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3627

There are two script files included in the download one for gmax the other for 3dsmax; use the one named cad_animationExporter_compact.mse. To do this, run the script and save it using the grablistner.exe (included with chimp) while gmax is still runing.

And as for making it work, it should be a device machine. here is a tutorial for making one. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1209

A device machine for example would be a door, so your elevater would go up or down when a player is next to it, but I'm not sure what your intentions are for it.

This means that your nodes aren't linked properly. Here is a tutorial resource.
