HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Sup everybody. My problem is is that i cant seem to find a tut (that is detailed and helpful) on how to download and use mod games on Halo CE. So far i have downloaded Nitrous Oxide BG and the AoTCR. I have followed all the guides to a T, but they will not work. the BG does an exception crash, while AoTCR says that a file is missing or corrupt, even thought i am doing exactly as im told. I am using the HHHT to apply .ppf's, so is it just me or can you guys give me some help??? Any info would be GREAT

uhh....dude.....those mods are for normal Halo, not CE.

Are you being serious? Do you know how to search? Look around a little bit good lord, this is out of hand.

First of all, sorry, i did find a couple of maps, but nothing spectacular so i didnt download them (yes i had been searching all morinin for tutorials and crap) Unfortunatley, at the time i did not realize most people on Halo Mods are still using Halo PC. I didnt think there was a diference anyways in how you went about adding maps anyways. Could you point me in the direction of some good maps, cause whenever i search, it either comes up with like 1000 threads with no maps, or 0 threads for being to specific. I already have the main ones like Blood Islands and Transfer and Faith, but I wanna know if there are any serious kick ass ones (i dont know how long CE has been out so i dont know what to expect) Anywho, thank you for the bot message, cause it really made my day. Any info (except from the bot would be appreciaited (i sure hope everybodies not like this)

Yea, dude, seriously, search a bit more. Theres tons of stuff all over involving H:CE... Check the H:CE Maps section of the files forums, as well as gearboxsoftware.com's forums.

In all honesty guys, 1. It did not mention until i asked and somebody said the mods were different. NO, i did not search through every single thread to when Halo CE came out, but not many people would. Second, the gearbox forums are GOOD (alot more frikin helpful than u guys are). Point being somebody get a moderator to delete this thread cause after I asked, ou guys had enough time to post but not help, which says alot...

Edit- Now that i think of it, you guys could clearly see from how stupid the first post i made that i was absolutley newb with this stuff (even i think its stupid only after a day), but like i said u didnt try to help. How bout you guys point m in the direction instead of saying 'search' cause you know that is very helpful (especailly when your sifting through like 200 threads)

WELL, these guys are COMPLETE morons, because, as you said, you are a noob at Halo modding, so here are some HELPFUL tips!!!

1) Halo mods, and maps, and skins don't work on Halo CE

2) Same goes for Halo PC, Halo CE mods, maps, skins don't work 4 it

3) In order to use some mods, maps, skins, you might need some programs, go to files.halmods, then utilites, and dowlload the appropriate programs

Thx general rap, unfortunatly after some hard kicking myself in the ass and staring at G-Max for 5 hours on monday while listening to kirk4's tuts go on, i managed to design my map named "Asshole" (pics will be out soon, it isnt great, but it is kinda cool in a newbish sorta half assed way...). And yes, Ollie is funny in his own sick way, but otherwise, ur the only person that has helped (now if i could figure out wtf is up with my cmd prompt, i could have the map finished NOW!!!!)

I'm amazed with how many people don't know how to use the freaking Command Prompt.

Ok first, I KNOW HOW TO USE COMMAND PROMPT, just a bit rusty and i dont use it that often (im more interested in comp hardware than software) second, you cant see Kirk4's tut screen so u dont really know if ur typin the right stuff.
