quick questionn

Post by bigbadE »

I've looked in the tutorials section & everything and I can't find a thread that tells me how to inject a skin into CE.

I have a pistol skin that I want to inject into CE and all i have is HMT.

what do I do? '

thanks

You compile it with tool and change what base map the pistol uses in the shader?

make the skin your gonna use into a .tiff/.tif image file, and place it in the data folder in your HCE folder, then you open tool in the comand prompt (if you dont have tool, download HEK, you can get it off hce.halomaps.org) then tool bitmap <name of TIFF>

Now, go threw your tag folder to the item that this skin is for, open its folder, open the shader folder within there, open all the bitmaps, anyone that used the bitmap you changed, change the link to where your new bitmap tag is. Then use HEK+ to rip hte map your adding it to (tutorials on halomaps) and then use tool build-cache-file <location of scenario within tag folder>

there are tutorials in detail for most of hte things ive explained, so search them out since im to lazy to do it.
Wow.. I havnt updated any of my stuff here since like 2 years ago.. lol
