hi i was just wondering if anyone here has gone to college for game devolopment or works in the gaming industry. I am a highschool senior and considering if i want to go to a game focused college. 2 or 3 years ago i almost finished a halo CE map. but due to not have 3ds max and all those other expensive programs i never completed it. if there is a free way to do it i'd be interested. ummm so yeah this is basicly asking if there is anyone is in the gaming industry and if they like their job. thanks

I wouldn't do a game disign as your major (at least for programming). People hiring like to see you are more well rounded so a more general corse is better. Plus if you decide to get out of the gaming industry it will be easier.

yeah, i agree. and in the since the field of computers is expanding like crazy then people with programming know how probably will never be out of a job. goyanks do you do programming or work making games?
