i have a no cd patch
dont sell halo on ebay when you plan to keep modding.
and he lives in the same town, within walking distance.

Yeah, the no cd patch makes you see different (and less) servers than if you had the CD. So either both of you get the patch or you use the CD too.

Connect the modem directly to your PC and bypass the problem.
