Fraps Problem

i have a problem with fraps.



everytime i start it and halo it acts normal. but then fraps crashes and makes halo freeze when i start recording. the wierd thig is that fraps leaves3gb movie files that don't even play. somebody help?

You should be able to play them, they're in AVI format. Fraps records in raw video, which explains the file size. To conserver space, you use a video compression program, like VirtualDub.

Make sure you have DivX installed, or at least the codec, so you can compress with DivX and cut down the video size to <100meg.

yeah ok but im not worried about because im not gonna be able to record without fraps crasing in Halo.

If it doesn't allow you to record, how are you outputting 3gb+ video files?

As for the main issue, I have no idea.

when i mean't it doesn'y allow me to record is that it only records for 1 sec or maybe less then is crashes. Its the wierdest thing thats ever happened.
