How do i play single player maps on Halo CE?

Simple you can't. CE is a Multiplayer add-on.

This is what i did
1-started halo CE
2-started console
3-typed map_name solo_dangercanyon_m
I also tried with map_name solo_dangercanyon_m.map
4-went back to halo CE and started game and then i got exeption data
plz help!

No vista is not a problem. ALL HALO THINGS WORK ON VISTA.

some uis you can dl with campaign, and as for custom ones, use the console (make sure you type the name in correctly)

i typed in the correct name and nothing happend and it didnt say it didnt work just nothing heppend

Alright, once more.

Start up Halo CE, stay in the menu and be sure to have the console on.
Open the console, and type map_name solo_dangercanyon_m and hit enter.

Also, are you sure you have my map in the MAPS folder of Halo CE?

how do i open console while playing without close or minimizing halo CE?

I don't know, maybe Halo CE's purple console that can be activated using the ~ key wich is left to the 1...

Thats your problem. Dont use the dedicated server tool, silly.

TO set up console for Halo CE make a shortcut to the desktop.

Then, in the "Target" perimeter, set to this location:

"Place_of_HaloCE\haloce.exe -console"

Mine is set up to run on my external laptop, so it looks like this:

E:\LAPTOP\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe -console

Yours might look like this:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe

Just place -console after haloce.exe, with a space after the .exe

If you wanted Developers Mode, its -console -devmode

With it, it allows you to have all the commands for halo ce available to you, however, to get certain things in maps, you need to know what the person who made the map NAMED them. Also, it disables Internet for Halo CE, so you can only play on LAN.

i tried to write the location of halo CE in command promt and console, but nothing worked!!! I couldnt even accsess the C:\ or D:\ with it why?

right click CE, go to properties, hit 'find target' and in the location, type
' -console'
after the path

now go ingame and hit the squiggle key
