Why isnt there going to be campaign mode in ce? It would be really awesome to make totally new maps for sp mode.

That might come later....remember no bungie or ms involvement, its all theirs, so they can pretty much do what they want in the future!

well, every single map file in halo (SP/MP/Bitmaps etc) all rar'd with full compression is 500mb roughly, cant remember exact filesize, so its not that bad for broadband, even with 56k, hek and halo ce is gonna take forever....

True, but adding in SP maps would still be a really long time. I'm sure eventually somebody if not Gearbox will figure out how to do it.

They could easily add SP!
They make it compatible, and you place your SP maps into the HCE Maps folder!

The raw data for all the sp missions takes up 2 dvd's. They use this to convert the maps into the new way they are read, all this together has been said to be somehwere around 1.5 -1.6 gigs. Thats why. Servers are getting hit hard enough from people downloading the hek and ce. What would happen if for all that peeps that want halo sp in halo ce started this right away.

You could always sort of make multiplayer maps like those in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, where each map has objectives and stuff, etc.
