tagging help

ok i need someone to a weapon. my friend gave me the tag and the skin of a weapon. i modeled the weapon and skinned it. i need to know how to tag it with an existing tag.
do you have the model in a .gbx format? or is it still in 3ds/gmax
also do you have the nodes and markers set up and everything?
