Well heres a map im working on:

Image

I don't know if ya'll recognize it with halo textures, but thats beside the point..the model passes tool's crap, but now..it needs a shader environment. I've made over 20, just none will work, i tried previously used ones (of course changing bitmaps) and etc. Can anyone help me out by telling me something? I'm not really targeting UBER detail, i want to get it working. Thats it. Any suggestions?

This is the debug part:

Code: Select all

06.05.07 20:54:49 tool pc 01.00.00.0609 ----------------------------------------------
06.05.07 20:54:49 reference function: _write_to_error_file
06.05.07 20:54:49 reference address: 42ca20
06.05.07 20:54:49 Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
06.05.07 20:54:54 failed to create new tag '.shader_environment'
I type tool structure levels\mm mm (yes mm is the map name) and it says building geometry...then choose shader type, 1-9. I have a shader_environment made..so i press 1, and it says failed...I've tried about 20 shaders and can't get it working.

Why is the first 1 detail cliff rock? Did you put .shaderenviroment at the end? Cause you shouldn't (don't know if its bad)

OMG I think you need to make one for all your bitmaps you used... And what did you name the material you used for the top skybox thingy.
