Problems playing CE

I just got a new video card which is an "nvidia Geforce 7300 GS", and I took it out because it was messing around with my computer. It was even making my computer freeze!!!!! I then only had my video card before the nvidia one in. But then when I went to play it, it said "A problem occured initializing DirectDraw. Hardware acceleration may be disabled, please run DXDIAG." Well I ran DXDIAG, and it said that DirectDraw, and Direct3D were both disabled. Please Help!!!
