HaloCE Sound Tag Creator - Need Beta-ers

I have made a program that allows you to make a .sound file. You just set the root directory of HaloCE, select an .mp3 file, set the conversion's new filename, and click Convert and the whole process of conversion is done for you. NOW MORE TO THE POINT, I need people to beta it and tell me if they find anything wrong. So if you want to beta just post here. It also allows you to play MP3 files.

This seems like a so-so idea, and I voted as such. There is much more to creating a music sound tag than just converting an MP3 to a .sound tag format.

What format sound does the converter convert to? IMA ADPCM? XBOX ADPCM? OGG VORBIS? Does it let the user decide?

Does this app allow one to use WAV and other popular sound formats?

Does this app have the newly created tag automatically split long sounds into permutations, which is required for the sound to play in-game?

No and thats a problem cause if you check that checkbox in Guerilla and recompile the app doesn't like recompiling.Duno if he fixed it now but last time there were some bugs

At the moment it only does Windows PCM , but im trying to expand it.

Yeah i just have to add them to the file filter

No, but ive tried, and i have been able to play them ingame.

In summary, it's still a project in the works and it should get a whole lot better than it is now

Udie, long sounds have to be split into permutations, or else data gets lost at the end. They work, but they don't last that long, only 49999 data or something, can't remember the number. So if ya can, try figuring out a way to do so. If you can't, try reminding the user to open the tag in Guerilla, checking the box, then recompiling it with the program again :P Good luck!

One how do i find out what the data amount is?

And

I found a way to split the files.

--

I GOT IT TO WORK WITH PERMUTATIONS!!!:D :D :D It made what I had to do on my end a hell of alot more work [stupid ms-dos]. But it simplifies it for the actual users. But i need to know the actual byte amount if anyone can give it to me!!!

--

Nevermind I Figured It Out AND IT ALL WORKS!!! PERMUTATIONS are in 19 second cycles... and best of all NOT ONE MORE STEP FROM THE ORIGINAL FOR THE USERS!!!!

Don't triple post.

This application sounds heavenly already. It takes like 15 mins just to get a sound in-game already. I'll be a tester if you let me. My AIM is electrickiwibird. I could try this for my map. Keep up the excelent work!
