ok i have run into this problem many times,and im sick of it, im trying to figure out a way around with out creteing my own custom vehical animation tags, like in my map urbanwarefare. i have working vechials that have custom animations,doors closing, heli blades spinning, tank treads moving,well treads thats texture anima
. ANY WAY if i choose to keep default animaton_model in vehical tag, i get the stupid sapien error, FAILED TO LOAD APC VEHCIAL MODEL, WARTHOG ANIMATION DO NOT MATCH. thats example i got for my APC that i used the warty frame set. forces me to crete a totlay new animation graph. so i lose the turret movement animation. turret stays locked into one posision. even though when i expoerted in max i, had the right objects linked to the right frame nodes, example. where am i going wrong. ist got to be a simple hang up PLEASE help befor i pull hair out lol. im using james d Max script. to import frame nodes, can you replie here. or email at [email protected] if i figure it out which i know i can becuse i see
you have made vechails and still where able to keep old vechial
animations. i will post a tut on how to do it
I have MAX 5 i wonder if JAMES D importer is messing up frame possisions, when i import warthog.txt, the mesh does not lineup with frame nodes. hMMMM i remeber the only vehical that imports node set correctly is banshee, all othe vechials import nodes, but spit out a nasty error in the listing window. also i can make model and swith out banshee gbx model and can keep the default banshee animation graph. just cant do it for tank warty or turret, all of them cause me to make new animation graph
right now im just try to make stationary turret like the one you have and one like in zani. ive made mesh. linked top of gun object to Frame gun. and linked bottom of gun to frame gun base, or what ever the node is called that is the parent to frame gun. i dont have anything linked to barrel or chain frame. cause gun is real simple right now. just trying to preserve animations
