i just got halo today and i downloaded the patch like five times from different sources, and i still cant get into a game

Did you download HaloCE? You do know it installs seperately....

no the normal halo, haloce works fine

What does it say when you try to join?

you do know that the game will download and install the patches for you when you try to play multiplayer.....

i know thats the point i did that like 50 times it said it was downloading 472660 bytes each time and still didnt work, it always says "an update is avaliable to download click ok"

Try downloading the patch off a website, instead of autoupdate.
