I believe this Idea will make things alot easier for people who want to convert to CE

We all know that CE is great with the new weapons maps and features....not to mention game types, whats not to love!

Well the major downfall for haloCE is the lack of an autoDownload feature.
The #1 complaint we here from people on the PC servers when the topic of "Why don't you play CE?" come up is this!

"there is no Autodownload feature and i dont feel like spending a week searching through forums and sites finding the absoloute best maps!

Well i suggest we have a MAPPACK vote and choose only the very BEST maps to be included and we add them and direct ALL halo pc players to this file if they consider switching!!!!!


CMON leave comments this idea rocks!!!!

dum idea, the place that it would be downloaded from would have to be GearBox, and they would never do that, not worth it


a map pack, kinda stupid

how is it a dumb idea this give pc players a pack full of the best maps without the hassle of posts asking where are the best maps.....


they are all in one file....this idea could save ce and get us that patch cuz we wont have people saying that i cant find any good maps

and it kills the lazy peoples complaints by putting them all right there!

are you stupid? every time someone made a new, "best" map, we'd have to update. Also, whose to say which map is better? I mean, if i make a shitty little map in your eyes, it might seem the best to me. I mean, whose to judge? Plus, if you had one mappack in one spot, the servers would overload with people trying to dl. Besides, when i'm in game and i find a mp i wanna play, but don't have it, i don't wanna exit the game just to try and find the map.


Personally, i think we should all B.itch to bungie or microsoft and have them put out a patch for auto download. That would be a hell of a lot easier then constantly updating the mappack

this will NEVER happen gearbox said there wont be another patch until we get 1000 players at one time playing CE

you are right thats why we could make a new map pack every month for all the good maps that come out


and its callled a vote dude Gren sets up GIGANTIC poll with alot of maps and the best 20 or so make it into the pack......


this is also a good idea because it will inspire mappers to release better and better maps

now i am noy saying that someone will have to release a map every month but just release maps like normal and the best ones released that month simlpy make the pack!

well u kinda cant do an auto dl since all the maps would have to be un zipped or un RARed so umm thats gona be a problem. also, if gearboxsoftware or somone like posted the maps not zipped etc then well if alot of people wre trying to d it would screw with the gearbox site from lag etc. Although if it were even possibnle to do that id give it a thumbs up

thaat post made little since.....seeing as we will never have a patch couse noone wants to cooperate!
