i just installed HEK and I want to know what is 3ds Max and do i need it. if so, where can i get the download. Sorry im new

either get it off kazaa or pay alot of money for max 3 and 4.2 or find a really rare trail for 3 and 4.2...

its used to create maps and such, www.discreet.com dl the trail for 6 and hope for a plugin for it

You can download a free trial of 3Ds Max 6 (currently does not have a plugin to export from Max into Halo) at the discreet web site http://www.discreet.com. You can use the trial until the exporter comes out. See if you have a knack for it and if you dont like it well, don't invest your money in it!
