Halo CE+HEK
can someone explain the difference between HEK and Halo CE. i know they are two programs that just came out, but what does CE do?
Halo CE is Halo Custom Edition. It is a new version of Halo that is MP only. It improves somethings and allows for custom maps.
HEK is what you use to make the custom maps. It has 3 programs in it:
Sapien, a map editor and lighting editor with weapon placement, etc. Also allows you to import new bsp (terrain, buildings, etc)
Guerrilla, a direct resource modifier, the official equivelent of HMT. It mods things you put into maps (weapons, vehicles, etc).
and Tools.exe which compiles everything into a usable HaloCE map file.
