How do I do an under water base?
Well? and by that I mean that there is water around your base but not inside it.

YOu could try making the base model, then put it under a water/fog plane. Then on the underside of the base where the entrance would be, put another fog/water plane. Not sure how it would turn out, though you should most definitely use a sky that doesn't have atmospheric fog. When atmospheric fog and plane fog collide, anything under thew fog plane become totally opaque.
