New vehicle/weapon tags?

I have been trying to import new weapons and vehicles into Halo CE by creating new models/collision geometery/tags ect.

And I can get Sapien to recognise them but when it comes to actually creating a cache file, it does'nt export the new vehicle/weapon to the game???

Does anyone know why Sapien recognises and displays the new weapons/vehicles and the actual game does'nt??

Its doing my head in a t the moment coz I really would like to get these things into my maps, If anyone has any idea's on how to get Halo CE to recognise a new vehicle\weapon without having to overwrite an existing weapon\vehicle That would be Awesome.

If I can suss it out though, I will post a Tutorial on how to make a new weapon\vehicle coz I think that's what alot of people are waiting for. :wink:

did you edit the weapons section in the globals.globals tag?

did you make a new animation graph for each weapon?

for vehicles you need to edit the globals file for weapons they should just work if they weren't animated the wouldn't show in sapein sapein will only show things that have the object subtag if they have an animation so obviously there animated fine.

ps. make sure youve got them set to appear in game types (correct check marks for vehicles and correct rolldowns for weapons and if you edit your globals file back it up just in case :wink: .)

pps. i have gotten both a weapon and vehicle into halo so i know what i'm talking about

ppps. just never seen a ppps and couldn't resist. :D

OHHHHH GLOBAL TAGS!!! (Hits forehead repeatedly with large wooden mallet) I knew I was missing something, and about the animation graph, if the model is not animated you should'nt need one right?

Right lets see if I can get this shit to work, Thanks Tiamat (old DnD dragon if I recall) if you dont mind I may PM you for info. :wink:
