how much MB or GB of memory do u have? that may be the problem, also try quitting other apps before opening SE

First, tell me how what O/S you are running...
Second, how much MB's of RAM you have and what type it is.

Apprently, your computer is running out of RAM to use when you open up alot of programs. Close some others out first, get rid of Spyware and usless startups, and do a clean reboot if needed.

this happened to me as well -

i realized that i had forgotten the "Copy the "carousel.sbsp.meta" file to the "C:\Project\Build Folder\levels\test\carousel" folder. (Overwrite the existing file)" step of the tutorial

Messed up bitmaps in sapien

I have a video of what happened when I opened up my level in sapien:

Basically, I made the entire level one texture for testing purposes. It is an entire underground bunker, so I didn't know how to make the bitmap shader. I made the shader a shader_environment. If anyone can hel;p me out and tell me what I might have done wrong, I would definantly appreciate it.

1/2) What the hell was your bitmap that you applied to all faces?
1) Did you actually make the shader.environment tag and put it in your shaders folder?
2) Nice video
3) Did you do a radiosity_save? That looks like your problem to me. I mean, that's what it looks like before you do it.

maybe you graphix card cant handle it? thats the way mine is, my sapien is all fucked up, even the HEK tut looks bad.

N/m, i put it into halo and it applys the textures fine. My graphics card just blows, lol. Yeah, i did save the radiosity. Before I save it, it almost looks better, lol. Hey, I alos have aproblem applying lights now. When I try to paint lights on like in kirks tutorial, they dont show up. It is probably my graphics card again and they are probably there, but I cant see them :( So now I cant put good lighting in my map, and I don't know how to make individial object emmit light.. so if anyone can help me out there, I would appreciate it
