I was wondering if anyone happens to make a fully working map with hek and 3D Max. Could you make a tutorial video on how you made the map. Just use a screen caputre proram and save it as wmv file so we all can watch it.
It is easier to watch then to try to read the tutorial hek provided. I am not good at that, yes I can read, but I would rather perfer a video tutorial.

Alright...
I disn't have any real place I could host the file at (it ended up being 30 megs) so I got an account at streamload.com...It's only got a 100 meg download limit, so I suppose the first three people to go there will be able to get the file. I've got a baseball game to go to, I'll try to find a better residence for the file when I return....

it won't work because you did not get the paid subscription. It is limited to 10mbs download at one time.
Can you e-mail me the video that would work

I would make a video tutorial, but I can't even make a map. If I happen to get a map working, then I will post a video here. But I don't think I can figure it out.
But I will try.
I am glad so many people viewed my topic. Hope someone makes a video.

Alright...
In a sweet move, halomods.com has offered to host the video for me...
The video is completed and uploaded along with all of the files from the tut. I'm just waiting to hear back from them because they wanted to verify the quality of the video before they allowed it to be downloaded.
Hopefully that will happen tonight...

Thanks guys.
When looking back on the videos...One thing I did without saying how I did it was merging the layers in paintshop.
After you have edited the alpha map and saved it, you need to right click the image properties window on the right hand side of the screen and click "merge all". This will allow you to paint the grass texture.
It isn't crucial that you do this, but it will make the grass look a heck of a lot better.
Thanks again to halomods.com for hosting the video. I'm glad you guys liked it.

The tutorial goes over tools that are used in Paint Shop, but photo shop has the same capabilities. I only used paint shop because it's a fully functioning, 60 day trial* from jasc.com
*IT says it's a 30 day, but it will run for 60
