This is my tutorial wich is in:here.

Hi all!
Couple days ago I started my adventure with HEK. To day I know some usefull info for this who would like make own map.

1. Blitzkrieg Plugin - not so fast amigo
Ok some of you can have problem with blitzkrieg. When you start your 3d max appers window with: "DLL <c:\3dsmax\plugins\blitzkrieg.dle> failed to initialize" . To bad for you. But don't worry. You have to add DLL files wich are in folder ".\blitzkrieg\MAX5" with plugin. You should add them:
WindowsNT - winnt\system32
Windows9x - windows\system
Windows2k - winnt\system32
WindowsXP - windows\system32
Reset you machine and it's ready :)

2.Problem with exporting map - where are all actors ?!
Another problem. When you try export your "ultrasupermega-map" you get this kind of error: "Blitzkreig error:No actors to export". It means that you didn't read HEK manual carefully ;) You have to read agian about "Reference Frame" at the begining.

3.Level Compilation - with tool.what ?
To compliate your level you have to use tool.exe. Simple GUI for tool.exe is:ToolRunner. For people howm don't like easy GUI and like command line a little user guide. In CMD you should type: tool.exe structure levels\test\tutorial{<=you should have there your map but i is not necessary} XXX {<= name of your map}.
Usefull advice:
a)use materials (TIF files) wich are in ".\myMap\Bitmap" folder. Place your map in ".\myMap" and your JMS file in "myMap\Models" and everything should work.
b)THIS IS IMPORTANT . While compilating your map by tool.exe don't name your own map like "tutorial". Make your own directory like" \myMap" and when useing tool.exe type: tool.exe structure levels\myMap myMap{<=again this your map name so don't forget it}.

These who would like add something are of course wellcome :)

i have 3 problems that werent mentioned here:

1) when i was following the video tutorial, they guy on there said to verify that the bases were linked to the reference thing, but he doesnt say how to verify it

2) when i try to export as .jms, i get an error saying "there is no geometry to export"

3) when i add the bitmap to the "skybox" thing....instead of having the bottom as gray (then clicking uvw map thing for the bitmap to show up), the 4 sides and the top blue, the ground automatically shows up on the bottom and 2 of the sides....then the other 2 sides and top r blue....its like half the sky is the same as the ground

WTF?!!!!!!!!!!

I can answer number one for you bro, just hit H in Max. Then click show subtrees. That'll tell you if it's linked. What you linked to the frame should show up under the frame name.

as for the other two, i have no idea.
