since alot of weapons dont have scopes but do have ironsights, im trying to make ironsights. i know how to make the scope into ironsights but they will only be black with no color or texture. is there a way to make them have color so it actually look good?



this is what my ironsight looks currently.

for one thing the part all the way to the right needs to be fixed.

Any part of the scope that touches the edge of the bitmap stretches across the screen. That's the understanding I have. So make it slightly less then the edge.

This is a pretty cool idea.

ya i noticed that was doing that and i found a way to fix it already, i just didnt want to make a new pic. i would really like this to work but if it cant, im ok with just black sights too.

Is that the zoom? If so, you can't make it color I think. It uses the alpha map that tell halo how much color should be in there and where there is color at all. But the color has to be a single color. So say I did blue, I would only be able to do shades of blue.

actually, instead of

light blue -> dark blue
spectrum

i think it would be

dark blue -> clear
spectrum

getting more and more transparent depending on the alpha information.

You get the point, you can't do it.

not so fast... look at osamas splinter cell style scope (and all the others for that matter)

shades of gray... enough to make a decent looking gun...

You have to be really 1337 though lol.

errr.....i dont wanna have to make a username o see it so ill just stay with the black ironsights i guess.
