hmt batch extraction problem?

Well i was trying to do an ai conversion mod, and so i changed the ce map headers to pc so i could work with it in hmt. Well a few problems arose. Firstly hmt is being a retard and wont batch extract the file. i go to tools -> extract -> batch extract, and i select the folder i want to extract to and i check the "extract metadata" box, and click "start batch extract". It'll start extracting, then it will lock the controls and start the extract, but around 2-3 seconds later it will unlock the controls and just sit there. so i try to start it again and i get this "Thread is dead; priority can not be accessed."
And when i try to extract the scenario, it gives me this little 433 kb file which is much smaller than i thought it to be....
These problems only happen on the hek-modded maps (yes, i compiled them with tool) cuz i tested like 3 modded maps, and it fails, but then i test an original halo map and it works perfectly. So my question is if i'm doing something wrong....
I don't know exactly if PMI using modded ce maps are different than PMI in normal maps.
Also, one time i did manage to correctly PMI my test map which was danger canyon with hunters. They moved around and such, but all the models were overly screwed. When i re-built the maps, i included all the biped tags, all the actr and actv tags, and all the model tags. I even de-crapped the models and built a new bsp chunk. Can anyone tell me what i was doing wrong?

try using Halo Hacking Tools or Halo Editing Kit Plus. they should work better.

Ok, guys, HHT and HMT are halopc tools. You have to convert them to batch extract, the only problem is that extract the meta files. In ce, we use tags.
In short, use HEK+.

Still, do it in HEK+, then CE -> PC.

ya, that still doesn't work

Basically all i'm trying to do now is a bsp conversion. so i used the sidewinder scenario file (from ce) decompiled the entire map. then i selected my sp bsp and got everything perfect. so now in ce i have my new bsp in a multiplayer map with no extra vehicles or weapons. so now what? i renamed the entire piece as bloodgulch\bloodgulch, compiled with tool, then did a ce - pc conversion, but the game says that the map is either missing or corrupted. What am i missing? i thought if i rebuilt the bsp and scenario into the pc bloodgulch.map, then it would work, but everytime i try to extract the bsp in hmt it gives me a file pointer error, and i don't know where to begin in hek. hht also gives me a memory overflow error, and whenever i open it with hek, the map contents are just blank. what am i doing wrong?
EDIT: ok, i got the naming right, so now it just gives me an exception error. I also got hek to show the contents of the map. now can someone tell me what i need to do to fix the map please?

ok...
Halo PC Modding Tools Dont Work With Custom Edition.
Well they do, but it adds extra steps.
read my CE->PC tutorial.
And some tags just cause exceptions in pc.

The question is, What SP BSP are you using?
Any bsp that is custom in any way, will not work. So if we had, lets say, area 53's bsp, and did a ce -> pc conversion, that would make it crash.
Only stock bsps (The maps that came with HALO PC) will only work.

learn what your talking about.
thats not stock, and you can convert any bsp you want to....no joke.

Is that tutorial.map I see?
No, seriously, Custom bsps cannot be converted from CE to PC. Stock BSP's are Bloodgulch, Dangercanyon, and all those multiplayer maps. The Singleplayer maps are also stock, because both come with Halo PC. Tutorial, Area XX and all those other maps that are not Gearbox's "pre-made maps" (such as Bloodgulch) are custom bsps, and such, will not work for Halo PC.
That is all.

Wow, you know, I didnt even look at that page untill just now, and stopped reading it after you said this on that topic:
Andrew_b wrote:you guys know that this isnt a mistake...i posted this in the PC section because its for pc...or do people just not care about telling how good a mod is anymore...it might be just me but i thought i would have more comments because this is not even a pc map....but i guess people just dont care now
Then I thought: Hmm, well if it isnt a Halo PC map, then its a HCE map.
And then concluded that its a Halo Custom Edition map. The End.
Also, hurr hurr.
That is all.

YA, he's meaning that it was originally a HCE map but he converted it to pc. he meant that it's not one of the original pc maps.

unfortunately thats only for tags. the pc way has been taken off because of a ripping problem, but it was made by conure.
Tyler777 can convert for vips.

go to halopc.net, conure's tutorial is there on how to convert custom CE BSPs to PC, and any other CE>PC tutorials you may need (there is a section on it)
