Small question - Restrictions and requirements

For HaloCE, what are the limits for modelling a weapon?
Do you need the triangle faces?
Is there a limit on vertices and indices like in HaloPC?

Oh, and can you model using a program such as wings 3D, and then export it to 3DS Max and stick it in the game?

I honestly can't help but think I'm making a bit of a nuisance of myself.

When it comes to content creation, there probably is a technical limit to the number of faces and vertices, but it's much, much higher than what's really needed.

Ideally, first-person weapon models should be less than 3,000 polies. Then you should make LOD (level of detail) models for third-person weapon models, taking away more and more detail from them as you go from superhigh to superlow.

I'm pretty sure that you can go engine wise over 500,000 with a decent graphic card.

But that's of course not necessary and listen to polar because he beat me to it.
