gmax ground texture problem

i apply my ground texture in gmax, and it just shows gray, i did applied the UVW, but its still gray

Did you apply the material with that button? I did this last night and it was just grey as well. Try drag and dropping the material to the floor that is selected. Make sure you turn off the backdrop thingy so you don't apply the material to the outside of your level/box or however you are doing it.
