All right, I'll try disabling it.

EDIT:

*unplugs controller*
Nope.
Same error without the controller stuff.

It's crashing in the tag_groups module.
Wouldn't have anything to do with the controller.

07.31.07 20:14:44 the meter definition ui\hud\cyborg shield does not specify a stencil bitmap group.
07.31.07 20:14:44 the meter definition ui\hud\cyborg body does not specify a stencil bitmap group.

thats the problem reinstall HEK and it will fix.

I really hate how it works with the tutorial map T_T
Well, there goes a good day worth of tag editing.

EDIT:
I also just noticed wanksta's post.
I'm using tags from Death Island decompiled with HEK+ for this.
(First day doing CE stuff by the way, so I'm not sure if that's why :-\)
And also, I'm able to compile the map and play it fine.
I copied the original HEK ui\hud\cyborg\cyborg (sheild|body) files into the directory and tried to run Sapien but it gave me the same errors.

odd.

07.31.07 20:34:04 Sound card doesn't meet minimum hardware requirements. Disabling hardware option.

this could also be your prob. try disabling direct sound through DXDIAG.

solution?

my sapien couldnt work be4 also, then i saw this useful thing on some website that explains errors. it worked for me. it basically said to do something like this:

right click on sapien.exe, select properties
select the "compatibility" tab on top.
then on that thing that says "compatibility mode", u check the box
saying "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and u select windows 98/windows me on the dropdown box, even if u dont have a 98 or ME.

hope this helps u.
