you trying too make bitmaps right... is this only happening on certain bitmaps or is it hapening on all. and what program you makeing the bitmaps with?

ive made custom bitmaps before... i've gotten them to work.
i just went thru and made sure every bitmap name had underscores for spaces, the name of the material in 3dsmax matches the filename, i've got all the .bitmap files properly named, and all the shaders properly named, and all the basemaps in the shaders pointing to the right files. im about to rip my own head off :(

i dont know 'which' bitmaps its happening to, cuz exception "is all it knows"
tool isnt telling me anything else.
if i try to open the scenario in sapien without running radiosity in tool, it just closes immediately, and the log file says something slightly different, but basically same idea. no hint to which bitmap is causing the problem. except now, after renaming everything, when i structure the level in tool, it's still looking for one of my old filenames for one of the bitmaps, just one -but i've made sure that filename is completely dead and gone, yet it still tries to use it.

i've been problem free for a long time... this one really has me aggrivated.

i bolded the problem. in that error it is telling you that you that one of you shader_transparent_chicago shaders is messed the fuck up so go through and look at them in guerilla and see if you find any problems with them.

i knew that was the problem. and i knew it had to do with a shader... but i went through everything and found nothing wrong. it all looked normal. i have no idea what shader_transparent_chicago means... so at this point (cuz like i said, i looked at all the shaders, they appear to be fine) im gonna need to know exactly what that error is telling me.

for now, i've created ALL NEW tif files, which will spawn new bitmap files, and then i'll create new shaders as well, and see what happens. thanks for the help..

dude its telling you one of your shaders is a .shader_transparent_chicago tag and is corrupted. did you make any water or glass or anything that is "clear"

also run a search on your tags folder for "shader_transparent_chicago" see how many tags it finds and look at those.

use my resources... cuz i randomly knew about halopc.net? sorry bro, i asked a few questions when first learning because it was quicker than spendnig hours searching for an answer in some corner of the internet. so now when i come across another stupid problem, i ask a question here, keep working on the geometry, and check back later to see if anyone was able to help. i'm sorry if i've got other things to do during the day, and i make halo maps in my free time. i'm not an expert, and i don't have the time to sit around and research for hours on end, when all i want to do is turn my design concepts into something tangible. if you're going to be a dikc about helping out, why help out? thanks for the link.
