ok, i recently downloaded the 3ds trial, cuz like every plugin ever made is for 3ds and not gmax, but how do you guys have it for so long? did you buy it? enter a random serial number? keep dling the trial? how do you have it for so long?

I havent had mine for long I only recently aquired it and I have a Job...

But yea most of us just paid for it. At least I think...

Unless you get it on student pricing, try around 3000$
People are either pirating it or buying, just who is willing to tell the truth about that is up to them. But don't try asking how to pirate here, it'll get you no more then a swift thread lock.

dude. im not spending 3000 bucks for it. ill figure out some way to use gmax.

gmax is pretty much the same as 3ds but has no rendering and has exportation/importation severaly cut back. And $400 is not alot of money, compared to full price being $4000.

yea i know gmax is the same, but all of the tuts and plugins and files, there all for 3ds! it pisses me off!!!! im tried of it.

Who cares, most tuts for modeling will apply to gmax, and why would you need plugins? If you modeling for Halo then heres 2 free plugins for Gmax.

There both good, but Bluestreak is way better. Theres also a GmaxtoOBJ plugin. So quit your comaplaing about files and plugins that are for 3ds, its not that its not fair, they have them for 3ds because they expect the people who are reading this tutorials or w/e to have that softwhere.

yea thats the plugins, but is there a plugin to where gmax can use 3ds max files. if there isnt tell me how to make one. ill make it myself.

I suggest a job and buying in on a student license. I got my copy off of a friend at my dad's office that just got 8, so he gave me his 7 disks.
