I wants to change .tff files to bitmap
but tool.exe says:
and my .tff files

Your files need to be .tif, and you have to type "tool bitmaps icons\bitmaps," unless your bitmaps are in the icons folder.

Bah, thought so, just one of the characters looked Japanese
Be sure to go to your CE root directory before typing in the tool commands by typing in the following code:
Code: Select all
cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition
Then of course, go crazy with the tool commands

My HaloCE is installed in D disk by me.
Would I reinstall in C disk?

I just try change .tff files in C disk.
But It still fail...

srry but this might be the wrong place but i can't get a pic of that cuz my computer can't run it at all. it runs and than close after 2 sec. have any idea?

ok, to make a bitmap:
you need to save your picture as a .tif into:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\data\bitmaps\picturename
or
D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\data\bitmaps\picturename
make sure that you have got tool.xe or cmd.exe in your Halo CE root directory.
then type in:
tool bitmaps bitmaps\picturename
or replace bitmaps to what folder you put your picture in the data folder. if its just in your data folder and not in any other folders in there then i think you just type: tool bitmaps picturename
if you get a error in tool(cmd) that says has got 2 sizes in it then you have made it the wrong size. (e.g. ###ERROR 854x589)
something like that.
if it works then tool will make the bitmaps into the tags folder.

ok, im at skl now and cnt c any pics so can u right click on the command prompt click mark and then hylight were it says the error, then press enter and paste it here.

make sure the picture is a thing of 2. ex 128x128, 256x256, 512x512.

Maybe my .tff files break
I edit them with Photoshop CS
I cant find any error in them

it should be saved as a .tif not .tff
