this is what you have to do.

Do a search of your computer (CTRL + F) and type in cmd.exe.

Copy and paste that into your Halo CE root directory.

Now, you can type in:
tool structure levels\yourmapname\yourmapname

Hope this helps. :D

The cache file goes wherever you want, (im pretty sure), then you stick it in your maps folder.....its the new map. :D

or do you mean the command prompt?

Just after you made the cache file? Nothing.
After you made a scenario? Guerilla first, then Sapien. Just follow the tutorials on the front page, at the top, click HEK tutorials. There are some very good video tutorials that I highly recommend. :D

Are you following the tutorials? Did you make your bitmaps a bitmap file? Try going over the tutorial and follow his instructions exactly. It worked fine for me with his tutorials.

well, when i tried exporting my jms file, it said file cannot read betamap file, so probably thats why my file is red, besides gmax is easier for me then 3ds max is. thats why im usin gmax, but im makin another map in a few days to continue my maps story, i'll give u updates as i go on my map in this thread cuz i am not startin another threadd until my problems resolved :D
