Multiplayer Bots

Yes, it has been asked, but not answered for me. I know that AI is possible in a lan, at least it you're the only one, I have yet to test it with two players. The map that I played was, I think but not 100%, "Sniper Trainning". There were quite a few MCs running around and all you did was shoot them. Occationaly if you ran up to them, they shot at you. This is my question, is it possible to sync bots over a lan/internet game. I have read both "Yes" and "No" articles. The "No" articles said that the only items that could sync were vechicle tags, but I know that a player is not a vechicle but a player. So is it possible to say make a map where you are shooting at other players AND the flood while they are shooting back? I am currently working on a massive map and came up with the flood idea a little while after working on the map.

If it is possible where can I find scripts and tage to do this?

You better should ask on Gearbox.

I know there are ways to sync animations(simple stuff). You have may seen a warthog humping on a player over and over. That was for syncing.AI though doesn't sync. There are ways to write apps to make them sync but until now they dont sync.

Ok, all though I hope you don't mean http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com I had a reply telling me to give up on it.... Really no help with that user and some what insulting.

But thanks, I'm sure I can find some way. Even if all they do is run around.

IAWTP.

The netcode will not synchronize the state of non-player bipeds in a map. Period.

Not even XBox LAN can do it; it only looks sync'd because everyone joins a game at the same time.
