Custom Turret wont shoot?

i made a custom turret and succesfully put it in-game, i am happy

BUT... it wont shoot, nor does it have a hud, any ideas on why?

Just to elaborate on tabasco's post, the animations work, when you press the fire button the firing animation works... but nothing comes out.
