How do you create the pic of the level for during game setup

Post by adamswine »

You've created a level for Halo CE and you've created the .map file, and you're all set to play it. You fire up Halo CE and start a multiplayer game. It asks what level you want to play, and as you scroll down through the list, the panel to the right shows special snapshots of each level, like the Warthog flying off the cliff for the "Infinity" level, and a snappy message, like "I thought it would be bigger". You get down to your level, and it gives that generic atlas map and "UNKNOWN LEVEL". Blecch.

How do you set that picture, the snappy remark, the number of players, etc? Anyone?

The trouble with finding out info like this is I don't know what they call the screenshot or the message. Searching for something like "picture and level and Halo" is pointless.

Thanks.

I think it's impossible. Either that or you can do it with some form of coding/string editing. I would have no idea where to start because I can't code for beans.

it's impossible. halo CE gives that for all custom maps. So if you did figure out a way to change it, all the maps would have that picture/text.
