Transparency help

Im trying to make a ladder for my level but the shader for it isnt working right.

You guys know how in the levels with ladders only show the rungs? What shader do I use and what things properties the shader do I need to change to get the black parts out?

Also, what do I need to do to the image? like create an alhpa channel?

Well, i think there already is an alpha channel, you need to open the bitmap in guerilla and save it as an Explicit Alpha Channel. There is a dropdown list somewhere in the begin where it says 32 bit, 16 bit, explicit alpha etc. Choose the explicit alpha one and save.

well if you just want to metal or wooden ladder just give it a wooden bitmap. You dont really need halo's ladder

I did save it as an explicit alpha channel and the black betweent he rungs still shows.

I remember a while ago i did this but for get how i did it...lol. It also happens with the lights. I used on of the light strips from the maps and compres with explicit alpha and made the shader_transparent_chicago and the black still shows up.

Any help?
