I got my grass in-game but...

but, the alpha map dosnt show up
Edit: i think i might know the solution
EDIT 2: nope, didnt work. Any one have a solution or idea?

Whoa that is some messed up grass!!! Are you trying to make some kind
of bump map or 3d grass?!?!? That would be cool.
If you just made an alpha layer I have no Idea what u did. Tell us what u
did in your shader file please.

im trying to make grass like Battlefield vitnam or far cry, but i cant get the alpha channel to work so far. ill try re skining it. Its actuly a scenery tag, it works really well in game just the black wont go away, and ill need to animate it so it sways in the breeze, im planning a really tight map.

well thats why. You should make a bumpmap for it if you want it to look more 3d. Search for a bumpmap tutorial in the tutorial section in this forum or the files forum.

alright, but thats not the major problem, the alpha map shouldnt show up, it should only show the grass, not the black above it, that way it loks cool. ill get a pic of it from BFV. Awsome game!

Its in the bitmap tags. I think you need to change it to a diifrent format through Gurriliea. Like explict alpha. If you change that you have to go down and change it to the corresponding DDStype (I think for this one its 3)

why dont you use scenery tags?
make a flat box....or a plane...and apply the bitmaps (grass) and cut the plane...better...aand then place it as scenery.....i could try....but not now

Allright make the shader transparent_chicago. Shader Model might work but i doubt it.
